Pharos 360 also provides the ability to have an unlimited number of extended student data files. Each file will show up as a separate tab on the student’s homepage for those users who have the necessary privileges to access that data. Access to these data tabs is managed by the system administrator and is granted to Care Areas on a per-tab basis. For instance, all Care Areas may be allowed to see the Academic Information data tab, but only the Financial Aid and Judicial Affairs Care Areas would be able to see the Financial Aid data tab information.
Filename Format: Extended_Student_Data_Descriptive_Label.csv
Simply replace "Descriptive_Label" with a description of the data being sent. For instance, you might use Extended_Student_Data_Academics.csv for academic data, or Extended_Student_Data_Financial.csv for financial data. This label will be visible to users as the title of a set of data. Here's an example of an extended data file:
Extended_Student_Data_Academics.csv:
"Student ID"|"Registered Disability"|"Keystone"|"Cum Att"|"Cum Cmpl"|"Grade Pts"|"GPA Credits"|"GPA""|"Academic Standing"|"Withdrawn Date"|"Potential Graduation"|"Next Term Status"

"0001002"|"No"|"No"|"24.0"|"24.0"|"93.0"|"24.0"|"3.8750"|"Good Standing"|""|"No"|"2018FA - Not Registered"
"0001003"|"No"|"No"|"32.0"|"32.0"|"88.3"|"32.0"|"2.7610"|"Good Standing"|""|"No"|"2018FA - Not Registered"

The extended student data files require the use of a header as the first row since Pharos Resources will not know beforehand which columns you are sending. The files must contain a column labeled "Student ID" which must contain the same ID of the student that you are sending in the Student_Data.csv file. All other columns may be determined by your university. The column headers may contain uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, spaces, hyphens and slashes (of note, parenthesis and single quotation marks are not allowed). Whatever is used as the column header will be displayed to users of the system, so user-friendly names are encouraged.
The column value may contain html if a
or
separated list is desired. Commas may also be used for lists of information (e.g. "Basketball, Track and Field").
You may update these files and their columns at any time. However, if a new file is found, the system administrator will need to grant permission to the data tab before any users will be allowed to see information contained in the file. In addition since we allow intermittent file updates on a file by file basis, simply renaming or excluding a file from your transfer will not delete the old file.
Please note: If the administrators request "Student ID" to be added and available for view on the user-side, the column will need to be named differently. A "Student ID" column cannot appear twice in this file type. We recommend using your campus's common name such as "SIS ID" or "Mascot ID".
